The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KBCCI) have partnered together for the inaugural Kalgoorlie-Boulder Economic Development Conference.

The conference will be held on Wednesday 6th June 2018, at the Hyatt Regency, Perth Western Australia. The reason for convening in Perth is to attract a diverse audience of key state and national stakeholders.

City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chief Executive Officer John Walker said the City and the KBCCI were working together to increase investable opportunities and grow businesses within Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the Goldfields region.

“This is just one example of the City working with the KBCCI to provide a forum for discussion about the exciting investment opportunities in mineral processing, renewables, lithium, education and training, tourism, land development and service industries,” he said.

“The program for the conference will include collaboration with all tiers of government and industry, with a view to highlight the strength and diversification of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s economic base.”

“The conference will focus on the business and investment opportunities in Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the work being done to expand the economy, enhance livability within the City, and make it easier to do business. Our partnerships with the KBCCI, GEDC, industry and government are vital to drive long-term investment through population and jobs growth in the region.”

“We are thankful for the support of the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission as event partner.”

“There has never been a better time to live, work and invest in Kalgoorlie-Boulder as it offers one of the best lifestyles for regional living. The conference will also provide an opportunity for the seven local governments in the Goldfields region to showcase what’s happening in their area.”

Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry WA CEO Kitty Prodonovich will take to the stage as Master of Ceremonies. The program and confirmed speakers will be announced closer to the event.

Sponsorship opportunities are open and enquiries can be made by contacting Simone de Been at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 9021 2466.
