City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder CEO John Walker has promised attendees at next month’s Growing Kalgoorlie-Boulder Economic Development Conference exclusive insights and breaking business news as the program of speakers is finalised this week.

Mr Walker confirmed that as well as having leaders from the mining, resources and innovation industries speaking at the conference, the City was expecting announcements that could change the long term economic landscape of the City.

“Delegates at the Growing Kalgoorlie-Boulder 2018 Conference will be among the first to hear this exciting news, as well as gaining insight into the resource industry here in Kalgoorlie-Boulder from the likes of KCGM General Manager Cecile Thaxter, John Malone, General Manager of BHP Nickel West, and Chris Reed, CEO and Managing Director of Neometals Ltd.

“There will also be some exciting presentations on some of the new ground that is opening up future opportunities for people wanting to invest in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, both from a business and retail perspective, and a broader industry point of view.”

As well as these major players in the resources industry, other confirmed speakers include Dr Ben Adair, CEO and Managing Director of CRC Ore; Dr Chris Vernon, Program Director Processing from CSIRO Mineral Resources; Peter Kerr, Executive Manager Growth from Western Power; Glenn Weir, CEO of CPC Engineering; Jack Archer, CEO of the Regional Australia Institute; John Nicolaou, Executive Director of ACIL Allen Consulting; and Minister for Regional Development, the Honourable Alannah MacTiernan MLC.
